Dianne Ingram Australian, b. 1948
Dianne is an eclectic artist from the far north coast of NSW. She studied representational art in Drawing and Painting for many years at Lismore TAFE College, before following her instinct to explore new boundaries in abstract and contemporary art. Dianne returned to TAFE to study with Michael John Taylor, as well as taking numerous art workshops with him and other artists whose work she admired. These include Rex Backhaus_Smith, Judith White, Irene Amos, Euan Macleod and Jennifer Little. Dianne also travelled to the USA to study with Maxine Masterfield, author of "Painting the Spirit of Nature".
Dianne works from her home studio in Alstonville NSW, as well as outdoors in the bush and countryside wherever she travels. This is where her inspiration and expression comes from. These areas leave lasting memories which are later interpreted in her studio. Her works come from her heart, mind and hand, which are all creatively connected. Dianne works across many media, but mostly in mixed media, as layering is often introduced into her painting and drawing.
